Education, Work, and Training
A wide background of experience, all related to technology. Experiences included R&D Director, Market Research Director, Industry & Government Relations, Director of Application Development and Security & Compliance Director. My education background includes a Masters in Physics from Kent State University, MBA from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business. I have also gained numerous technical skills including 3D CAD, Electronics Design (including named as inventor on 2 US Patents) and various programming skills, in addition to significant project experience. This wide-ranging experience has given me a rare ability to effectively communicate technological details with a keen understand of business realities. Here are a few of my more recent positions;

Led a department developing and maintaining computer systems for retail convenience stores, including point of sale systems, back office systems, new IOT concepts and other electronic systems.

Responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of IT systems. Making sure we were meeting all regulatory requirements including JSOX, FFIEC, GLIBA, and others as well as developing and maintaining IT policies, security monitoring, various security investigations, and penetration tests.
